What is it?
FREEVIEW is a non subscription TV service offering over 30 digital TV channels and 20 digital radio stations.
FREEVIEW will work on your existing television set but you will need to purchase a set top box.
The service is received through an outdoor terrestrial TV aerial.
Is a digital aerial required?
If you are in a FREEVIEW coverage area you may be able to receive the digital signals through your existing aerial.
If you can't receive FREEVIEW or if you are having viewing problems such as pictures breaking up or loss of channels we would recommend an aerial upgrade to include a CAI approved digital aerial and double screened cable.
If the installation is very old we would also recommend a new galvanised bracket and galvanised steel or alloy mast.
