However, there are signs that you can look for that will help to indicate whether or not a fault is occurring with the aerial system as a whole.
I’m getting No Signal on the television
Such as, the coax cable is not plugged into either the TV or the socket. The TV input is set wrong, which can be fixed by pressing the input or source button and selection TV. Check these first before going any further. If these are ok, then if there is an amplifier, check it is still switched on.
Of course, it could mean that the aerial itself is faulty, but it would take a local aerial man in Lancaster with testing equipment to find out for sure. Go here for more info.
The television Picture Fractures on occasion
I’m Missing TV Channels
There is water coming from the coax cable
There is Visible damage to the antenna
It isn’t Not Receiving HD Channels
In Conclusion
There are multiple reasons why a TV is not getting a good signal or not receiving any signal at all and showing no picture. From the actual aerial being faulty, through to connections or even a fault with the television itself. If after checking the connections there is nothing obvious, the only real option would be calling out an aerial engineer to find the exact fault and fix it.
